CAR RENTAL
Princeville is on the north side of the island so most of us will need to coordinate transportation. It will be a good idea to get a rental car or plan with a close friend to carpool during your stay.
WEATHER
Princeville will be partly cloudy and around 85 degrees in August, but will get down to 75 at night. North Kauai is the wettest part of the island (which is why it is so green) so we're expecting occasional showers but mostly sunny.
Love Story
In the summer of 2013, Andrea and Drew serendipitously crossed paths through mutual friends. Stepping into Drew's Santa Monica apartment, Andrea felt an immediate connection spark between them, leading to the two of them spending significant time together.
Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, and they found themselves hanging out more and more. Andrea and Drew discovered numerous shared interests in sports, music, comedy, spirituality, literature, and food. It was evident that something special was blossoming between them.
After patiently observing Andrea and Drew's chemistry for over a year and a half, their friends and family were elated to hear the news of their first kiss on November 7, 2014, in Orleans, France. Drew's pursuit of a basketball career overseas and Andrea's commitment to law school kept the two apart, but despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship for nearly three years, their love continued to flourish. Even with the physical separation and residing on different continents with a 16-hour time difference, they always found ways to sustain their love. Whether it was watching movies and sporting events together, falling asleep on the phone, or Drew enjoying his late-night snacks while Andrea had her breakfast, they cherished their frequent FaceTime sessions; and when Andrea had a break from her school, she would seize the opportunity to visit Drew, while he made the most of his off-season time to be with her.
Finally, in 2018, Drew retired from basketball and returned home, reuniting with Andrea after what felt like an eternity apart. Andrea and Drew solidified their bond, constructing a foundation based on friendship, trust, and loyalty. Their love story reached a significant milestone on a beautiful November night in 2022, coinciding with Andrea's birthday. Drew, filled with nerves and excitement, carried a ring in his pocket, ready to propose. Throughout the evening, he searched for the perfect moment and convinced Andrea to join him for one last view. They stood atop the famous Yamashiro restaurant, gazing at the beautiful Hollywood Hills. It was there that Drew got down on one knee and asked Andrea to be his wife. Overwhelmed with joy and tears, Andrea caught her breath and wholeheartedly said "yes!" As you can imagine, the moment was so unbelievable that it turned into an evening filled with lots of laughter and happiness.
Today, this lovely couple is getting ready to start the next chapter of their love story as husband and wife. Andrea and Drew warmly embrace the love and support that has accompanied them on their journey. They are thrilled to celebrate their union with those who hold a special place in their hearts.
